For 14 seasons, with good, mediocre and bad teams, Chuck Finley took the ball for the Angels and made good things happen. In terms of giving customers their money’s worth, he was as dependable as Disneyland, right down the road. Finley threw 2,675 innings in an Angels uniform, winning 165 games.
Longtime Los Angeles sportscaster Stu Nahan, also familiar to movie fans for his appearances in the series of “Rocky” films, died Wednesday. He was 81. Most recently, Nahan was working the pre- and postgame radio shows for the Dodgers.
